Richard Galliano will take part in the festival

Richard Galliano will participate in the programs of the XV International Music Festival «Kaliningrad City Jazz» as a member of the New Jazz Musette quartet. This is the musician’s second visit to Kaliningrad: he appeared on the stage of the third festival in 2008. A friend and student of Astor Piazzola, a virtuoso master of accordion and bandoneon, is considered the founder of a new musical genre – the «New Musette», which combines Mediterranean music, Jazz, French chanson and Classical music.
Earlier, the organizing committee announced the participation of the Israeli band Funknstein (August 29, the main stage) and the collaboration of Uros Peric, Robin Charles and the Dmitry Koshelev’s Big Band (August 28, the main stage). Don’t forget that this year the XV International Music Festival «Kaliningrad City Jazz» will be held on August 28, 29 and 30 on the Kant island. The transfer of dates from the traditional first weekend of August to the last occurred due to the coronavirus pandemic.
